Air-Child is committed to protecting your privacy. This Statement of Privacy applies to the Air-Child website and governs data collection and usage. By using the Air-Child website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Information Collected and Stored Automatically

We will not collect any personal information about you when you visit our website unless you choose to provide that information to us, via email or our automated systems, with the exception of webserver statistics. If you browse through our website or download files, we will gather and store certain information about your visit automatically through a server log. This information does not identify you personally. Our webservers automatically collect and store the following information about your visit:
  • The IP address from which you access our website.
  • The type of browser and operating system you use to view our site.
  • The date and time you view our site.
  • If you accessed the Air-Child website from another website, the address of that refering website.
We use this information to help us make our site more useful to visitors and to monitor and optimize the webserver hardware and software.
Air-Child will not disclose your personal information without notice, unless required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
(a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Air-Child or the site;

Personal Information you provide to us

If you choose to provide us with your personal information by sending an e-mail to one of our staff members, or by filling out a form such as a join application with your personal information and submitting it through our website, we use that information to respond to your message and to help us provide you with information that you request.

We store information collected from our pilot applications for the purpose of maintaining the website and provide pilots with the best service possible. We do not collect personal information for any other purposes. Some information provided from pilot applications (name, nearest airport and country of residence) will be published in the Air-Child pilot roster.

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through Air-Child public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others. Air-Child staff members do not read any of your private online communications (PM?s).

Links to Other Sites

Once you link to another site, you are subject to the privacy policy of the new site, and you are no longer subject to our privacy policy. Air-Child is in no way responsible for content provided on third-party websites which are linked on the Air-Child website.

Use of Cookies

Children's Privacy

air-child.com acts in concordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. Under this act, website operators are not permitted to require children under the age of 13 to disclose personally identifiable information without permission by the children's parents. Air-Child does collect personally identifiable information through our join application, and therefore we are unable to allow children under the age of 13 to become a member of Air-Child. Furthermore, to comply with regulations in other countries, the minimum age to apply for a membership with Air-Child VA is 18 years.

Non-profit status of the website

As Air-Child is a non-commercial virtual airline, all sponsored money will be transferred to UNICEF directly by the sponsors. Air-Child will not benefit in any way of money collected for UNICEF through the sponsorship program.

Changes to this Statement

Air-Child will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect user feedback. Air-Child encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how Air-Child is protecting your information.
