Alright, it's that time again - Christmas is coming, the new year is about to knock at the door and it's time for my personal review. So beware...
2009 has been a wonderful year for Air-Child. Our little VA baby has made its first steps in the flightsim community with the public opening in June, and we received a lot of positive feedback for the concept of the airline. Twelve months ago it was still somewhat hard to tell if this project was going to be a success or not, especially in regards to the UNICEF part. But after only 6 months, and with all the great support we get from you guys and our donating partners, we are confident to be on the right track. In 2010 we will put all our efforts in extending the fund raising with more partners and more online events.
This month's Christmas Delivery, the first ever official VATSIM event organized by Air-Child, was already a great success, and I'd like to especially thank Rafal for his great work and commitment! There's wonderful new ideas already for next year, so we all can look forward to some exciting adventures.
By the end of this year, and just half a year after going public, Air-Child is no longer a no-name VA. We are a Vatsim partner VA, have been certified by vACC Austria and Germany, are listed in vataware and have more than 40 pilots and growing in the vroute community. And this is only thanks to you pilots who support the VA and keep flying for it.
So here's a big hug to all of you:

Personally, this year has proved to me, more than any other, that flightsimming can give you new experiences and aspects all the time. I met Jeroen and his nice family in Ireland, I was allowed to fly in Norbert's home cockpit (and crash short of the runway
Due to some programming work (although much of it didn't make it to the website yet), my personal flight record this year was rather small, but I wouldn't want to miss any of those flights.
Now take a breath, because you're almost through with this post. I just wish you all a Merry Christmas (at least to those who celebrate it), peaceful holidays and a perfect take-off into the new year. Fly for Children!

See you there!
Peter
